Yep, it's my '98 4003, and me playing it at the Oya Festival in Norway last summer. I know because it's the only gig I played without the trc... I'm not that famous, but my bass is :)

John that black hipshot with the chrome saddles really looks great on that bass.

Glad it worked out for you.

Hell, yeah. I've got a bit of chrome here and there: the tuner bushings that came with my black tuners (I think they're H*psh*t) were a tad "loose in the hole" as it were, so I retained the original chrome bushings (they look great with the black/"chrome" TRC), plus the toaster casing, as well as the saddles.

I will say that when I got back to Boston at about 4 AM after the gig, I dropped the bass in my music room and left it until the next day. When I looked at the bridge saddles, they looked like a bomb had gone off there; crooked doesn't do it justice. I do play pretty hard.

It's a C64s in jetglo. I actually sold the horseshoe that came with it and put a in new higain instead. Feels better to me without the shoes and its lighter too! Sounds better as well, but I'm sure I'm the only one who feels that way? :?

You de-shoed your C64S!

If the high-gain works for you, that's what matters. :D

The high-gain is a very nice pickup to be sure.
