Nope. To paraphrase what has been written elsewhere, "The special logo and color is more than enough to demark these as something special, so there's no certificate needed."

Just checked my email and got this from Chris Clayton.

"Bob: Your new baby has arrived. Give me call when you get a minute".

Yahoooo!!! Image
I called POTR's but too late, business hours ended at 5:00PM EST.
First thing tomorrow I'll be on the phone. If Chris ships it tomorrow, I may have it on Friday.

Congrats Elys!

Congratulations right back to you, Bob! Image

I just love the new-guitar smell - it is so different from the way my 1970s 4001 basses smelled when new...

And this one smells way different that my new 350v63 MID smells too. Wonder what is different about the volatiles in this finish?? The other difference may be the bigger one - the 4003DCM came in the plastic hardshell case, not the gray vintage reissue case like the 350v63... could it be the case I am smelling and not the guitar finish?

BTW, Bob, you are in Pennsylvania - why not attend MARF this weekend in NJ at POTR and pick up the bass IN PERSON!!

You won't have to pump your own gas while in Joisey Image

Uh-Oh - so RIC has me sniffing glue now??? OH HORRORS!! Image

Makes everything kinda dreamy and pastel, though, all the pretty lights swimming around the room and my head buzzing like a beehive..... Image

No wonder I was so cornfused about that Brobdingnagian thing in your other thread, JDog Image

Congratulations BOB & Elys!

Good to hear they are still showing up.

Ah, I love that smell! They should sell RIC-O-Smell or RIC-O-Scent!

Thanks guys.

I would love to go to MARF this weekend, but I must install a new server for work. Real fun. Image

If Chris still has it there feel free to have a look. That means look, not play damn it. Image

I wonder what all that solvent outgassing does for RIC's VOC limit with the State of California? Image

It can't very well help it much.....

Wait, I just realized California does not care - because it is outgassing its VOCs in Maryland right now, not California Image

The vintage reissue case really has a nice smell. I would buy that smell in a heartbeat in place of Febreze, if John could figure out how to market it alone and still make a buck!!

Congrats, Bob and Elys, enjoy your basses!

I'd buy air fresheners that were made with the "New Rick" scent.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)
