See I can't help myself.

Here's one more for your mind twisting pleasure. No looking this one up. You had to be a fan of this band to know about this quote. 8)

Which band was quoted as saying 'It was the only band where, as a rock drummer, you could play in 17/16 time and still stay at decent hotels'?

Correct Peter.

Here's another for you.

According to the 'Guiness Book of Records', in the seventies, this band was declared the world's loudest band. Who are they?

Correct! You answered your own question! The Who cranked out 126db measured at a distance of 32 metres from the speakers at Charlton Athletic Football ground in '76. The previous record-holders were Deep Purple, who managed a mere 117db (sissies!).

It sounds like the sort of thing Bill Bruford would say... Yes or King Crimson?

King Crimson is correct and Bruford of course was the man of the hour on that one. He's one funny man.

What is the link between these 3: Devo, the Pretenders, CSNY.

This one's still open, so here's a hint: Think of a famous CSNY song that Neil Young sang the lead on.

The CSNY hit "Ohio" (written by Young) is about the shooting of students protesting against the US invasion of Cambodia by members of the Ohio National Guard on May 4, 1970 at Kent State University, Akron, Ohio. Members of Devo (Jerry Casale and Mark Mothersbaugh) and Chrissie Hynde were attending Kent State at the time of the shootings.

Very kind Brian. I have dropped some clangers that have obviously escaped notice...

Now yet another who am I:

I have performed on stage with Eric Clapton, Frank Zappa, and Elton John at the height of their fame.

I collaborated with David Bowie on a US number 1 single.

To many, this would be a great CV in itself, but you may know me better for other achievements....

Who am I?
