The guitarist in my band has a Silent Guitar, pretty nice really, except for the cheesy reverb built-in to it.

I had to google the Silent Guitar - I saw one at the Phoenix GC a year ago December.

I have a Yamaha Silent Guitar. The main reason that I bought it was that it plays really nicely. If you get a set of good headphones, the built-in reverb is actually pretty good. It sounds like you're in a concert hall - though it's closer to what things sound like in an empty concert hall during a sound check than an actual hall full of people. It gets a lot of curious interest because it looks like a Picasso and when you hand someone the headphones and play a little bit their eyes get really big. It doesn't sound exactly like an acoustic guitar, but it's pretty close and somewhat less "rubber-bandy" than a lot of electrified acoustics are.

Yes, I have an SL as well, and it really shines on stage.

An excellent idea, well executed.

Look at Todd's photo, then compare it to the monstrosity at the top of the page.

What were these people thinking/smoking when they "created" that POS?

It's obvious that Yamaha has some very talented designers, and knows how to execute some lovely instruments...it's equally clear that the "other" guys got a good deal on some garish paint.

If you happened to be the parent of a sixth-grader, I suspect that the Yamaha Silent Violin might be worth it's weight in gold!

Guess who's back---MVP!

But he's given up on Gretsches. I think his '55 Caddy is bleeding his wallet. Now it's cheap Strat knockoffs that are feeling his lash...

Very tasteful use of the 'alen' screws...... NOT!!

I wouldn't insult my toilet by attempting to flush it......... absolute crud!

I'm positive I can see room for more stickers............... Image

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!

Disney, Fender, and Allen should file a class action lawsuit and name Ebay co-respondent. Someone should answer for this.
