It's a '67 reunion at M.A.R., so you've gotta come Francesco!

Jeffrey, I was mistaking, my 4005 is also a GB (Not a GI).

I wonder how many 4005’s were made in February of 67?

Perhaps that’s all four of them.

There's definitely more than four!

Are you sure Jeffrey, (how many did they make for the whole year of 67)?

I check the Smith book when I get home tonight.

His book dosen't have figures for '67 and it has been validated that those production figures are incomplete.

I think there is a good chance that there are more 4005 series basses out there from 65-67 than 4001 basses. I can't recall seeing a 66 or 67 4001 deluxe bass for sale in the last five years. I have only ever seen a couple of examples, both 66 basses.

I know of 4 4001S basses from 67. They obviously made a very limited run of these that year, although they were never even listed for sale in the Ric literature at the time.

In 68 the 4001 starts to appear far more often.

Yeah, even the two 4005/6's I've seen up for sale in the past nearly two years have both been from '67...I've personally never seen a '67 4001.
