John, back in the very late 80's or around 1990 or so, John Hall had a clear out (of sorts) of some fantastic 60's New Old Stock.
Sometime ago over at VT, John Williams (I believe) posted some of the original stock (and prices) that was just incredible....
Maybe if he finds time, he could repost then here.

A guy I used to know called up Rickenbacker back in the late 70's early 80's, and asked if they had any display models available. He picked up a nice 4005 for a real good price! That was the first time I ever played one.
