Welcome Charlie, you probably may not remember but I bought one of your 1998 magazines, VTV when I lived in Lima, Peru a few years ago because of an article written about Ampeg SVT's. I believe that edition is now sold out.

Yes Terry Buddingh, formerly of Guitar Player and now of Guitar Magazine did that article. I remember him driving up for the photo shoot with a BMW 2002 looaded to the limit with about 6 different versions of the SVT heads, those things were huge and very heavy.

Huge and heavy but sound great and are worth every pound. That was a great article BTW, I have three heads and alternate them. If you think the heads are big and heavy you should see the matching 8 x 10 cabs!
