I have been screaming for a Lightshow reissue, and as much as I would love it I don't see it happening. If it did, Rickenbacker would CERTAINLY having something to show at NAMM that NO OTHER company could come close to!

Rickenbacker could more easily achieve that with a big bonfire...

Hey, the PRS booth is next door to ours- maybe a bonfire there would work!

Mr. Hall: Please keep your fine guitars well away from the PRS's. You wouldn't want them to spawn and create a guitar that neither manufacturer would claim.

A plexiglass 360 O.S. with modern light show electronics would be a nice (typical?) Rickenbacker thing, no?
Hell, if Rickenbacker won't build one I'll do it meself.

One word....Tripleneck. You heard it here first, folks...4,5 and 8-string bass necks, and sustain for weeks. For the pickers, a 6, 12 and Banjoline.

The guy that invented the 6/12 converter had a 5 neck instrument- 6, 12, bass, banjo, mandolin. All the necks radiated out in a star pattern and his strap allowed him to spin to the next neck. Had a built-in strobe light too.
About right for a guy that drove an Amphibicar.

Ahhh, that must be where Rick Nielsen got the idea for that monster he plays during "Surrender". Damn thing weighs a ton...

Before he had his first 5-neck built, he would come out with several guitars strapped on at once, playing each one then tossing it off-stage till he was down to one at the end of the song.

See, then it feels light as a feather, and you can really swing away when you get a high, fast one up the middle...

"Per se, there won't be (a 2006 COY)"
Could it be the return of the Lightshow? It's both a rare model and not really 'one' color.
