I have a very wealthy friend in AMWAY. He retired from his VP job at BofA 10 years ago. Technically it isn't a pyramid, but I think it is few and far between that people actually make any real money.
I'll stick to Financial Planning and have my cases smell like guitars thank you.
Weren't we talking about RICS R US?

Well...I pulled the trigger and purchased the 425V63 Burgandyglo. It arrived yesterday but I waited a day to open. It looks great. Needs a setup, but she is a beauty. Arrived from England in 3 days. Mike shipped it free because of this thread. I thought it was too good to pass up. Thanks Mike, you're a good lad.

Brian, if you have any trouble setting the intonation, let me know. I've done this on my 1981 460 BG (same one-piece bridge).

That reminds me that I need to put new strings on my 450v63 JG. Maybe I'll try to do that this weekend.

Mainly, availability, although my good experience with my 1967 450 MG (which my greatniece now has) probably had something to do with it as well. The 450v63 JG was an eBay item nobody else wanted back in 2001; I was the only bidder, and I got it for $525 (I can't remember whether that was with shipping, but I think it was!).
Ah, the good old days!

Welcome the 425V63 owners club - they are great little guitars! Can't resist putting up a picture of my old one - I do miss her!

Thanks John. I set her up last night and it really is a great little guitar. It has a very nice tone for a single pickup.
I love the burgandyglo. It is a very rich color. I'm hoping to find one in Jetglo, so if you have a line on one, let me know.
Did you sell yours?

Yes - I sold mine a couple of years ago on eBay to a German guy. I only sold it so that I could finance the purchase of another Ricky - a 1997SPC. It's addictive !

Well... just a few months later and Mike has come through for me again. I picked up a 425V63JG! I should have it Monday. He really made it easy for me to purchase.
For all of you joining him at the UK confluence, give him my best and support his cause. He is a great representative for RIC.

Well said Brian, I have been saying this for a long time, along with many others in the UK.
The UK confluence is going to be GREAT & it's thanks to Mike that we have a superb venue & a professionaly run event. I've said it many times, but Mike is first & foremost a Ric nut & it's going to be great to be in the same room as 40-50 other Ric nuts!
