Andrew, how many pieces of Maple is that body? 4? My '57 450 has about 9 pieces. Very cool.

Love the colour of your bass Andrew - one for the "greenies"

Howard good to see you've come clean, after you said you didn't like green on guitars, I wondered if turquoise counted as part of the green family and was thinking of blowing the whistle on you. LOL!

BTW I finally got onto the Ibanez Artist I was after, in a nice green!! No, only kidding it's a Marine Sunburst (Blue), and once again purchased in the good old USA. It arrived while I was in hospital, so I had two lots of good news that week!

Sprung!!!

I like turquoise and a nice dark emerald green Ron. The apple and Kermit greens leave me cold!!

And now we're qualifying - come on Howard, come out of the closet, you really do like green guitars. How could anyone not like that colouring of Andrew's bass sensational!!

BTW edited my last post after backtracking and reading on earlier post of yours

It's not easy being green.

Or Australian.......

'Sensational' doesn't spring to mind, Ron - 'nice' does. The shot of the neck, however, is sensational!!

Glad you got your Artist, too. How does it compare to the Chet Atkins?

Will send you some pics Howard, rather than hijack this thread with stuff that is of no interest to others.

Thanks for the positive feedback all. Glad to see a few others out there who like a little green...

Sheena, the bass has been unstrung for 15 years now. It had neck issues and I finally put it away in the case. This summer it will be restrung, knowing what I know now...

John, it is a 4 piece body. Lefty and myself have discussed it a few times and we both think it's probably original, although the horn has obviously sanded down! The birds eye neck is just wonderful to look at.

It is a killer refin. The pics really don't do the gloss and depth of the colour justice. I really need to take some that show it properly.

And so, in conclusion, green guitars totally rule.

But we all knew that.

Hee!
