I think if I see a Trans Green 4004 I may have to pull the trigger myself. I already have chrome hardware from my 4004L so it would be perfect.

Man it was nice to actually touch these guitars. Played a 650 (I have to get one. Awesome.) A 4004 (why the #%&@ aren't more players playing these?) Played the new 1997, a Comstock (I believe, the MG one, strummed the Jazzbo, caressed it's curvacious body (it and a few others were rigged so as not to be taken down), put my fingers to a 4003FL for the first time, smooooth; and the Green on the cii bass was awe-inspiring (as were all the colors, IMO).
It's a new camera, that's why I look younger (and why the colors don't come out well on these pix. Haven't read the book yet).

Thanks for the pics Jerry!
I think when JH releases the Cii 5's it going to be a TG for me!

The show was pretty insane.
I got to spend most of the day Friday and Saturday with John and Cindalee Hall, and Ben Hall and his lovely wife, Arielle.
We talked about all things Rickenbacker and after the show Friday, John and I headed down to the beach in John's car to meet our wives and Ben and his wife for dinner at a great little Italian place, where there was more fun and Rick talk.
It was interesting to see the people who stopped by the booth; a real mix of people ranging from an 11-year-old boy who was the son of a GC rep whose father thought we were a babysitting service, to David Carradine, who wanted a Ric-O-Sound box (sorry, David), to real non-celeb working musicians, who were all dealt with in good humor and courtesy by the RIC people on staff.
A number of Rick Forum members stopped by during the two days that I was there: Alan Zeleznikar, Glen Wall, Nick Thiel, and the good Dr. Who, Gary Clauson.
The playing stations (4 of them) were a great addition, and of course I took advantage of them to try out the new Ricks which I've never auditioned. I was particularly impressed with the MG 370/12 VP and the 360/12C63. What sound!!! And the 700 acoustic was also an impressive tryout.
A great time was had. The Halls were perfect hosts.
I've just gotten home and will have to sleep on all my impressions.

I guess Rickenbacker didn't offer any update on when the first 325C64's would begin their journey from the factory?

They've already sent at least one each to Dave's Guitar and North Coast Music.

Paul - considering the seemingly significant presence of RIC acoustics at their display, did you hear anything regarding when acoustic production would be ramped up? I understand if you don't want to speak for JH.

Steve, things happen in due course at RIC. The luthier who was brought in to get acoustic production going again (forgive me, but I cannot remember his name), was just finishing the last of the Lemmys when I was there in November for an all-too-brief visit. He's charged with the responsibility of getting acoustic production going again.
Both John and Ben say it's gonna happen, but they are very wise not to give any dates or make any promises.
Judging from the acoustic presence at NAMM, resurrection is imminent.
