I'm originally from southern Ontario, Canada (the Niagara Penninsula) but have lived in Calgary, Alberta (Stampede City and home of the Calgary FLAMES!) for the last 16 years.

"Hola" and hello from the city with the most musical name in the world: Laredo in Southern Texas! (LA-RE-DO... "DO... a deer, a female deer; RE... a drop of golden sun...")
And yup... this is the very same Laredo that Francis Henry Maynard was thinking of when he wrote "The Streets of Laredo (The Cowboy's Lament)" in 1876. Marty Robbins' version is the most famous, I believe.

Yeah! Another cool city-song! The late Mr. Robbins also recorded a version of "The Streets of Laredo". As did Jim Reeves and Johnny Cash and Tex Ritter and the Sons of the Pioneers...
