Sure there is... redesign the wood on the 12-string headstock so that it accepts the same TRC as the 6-string. Not an inexpensive solution for Ric&Co, but possible. IMHO the extra cutaway solution looks very clugey ... or however you spell that word. It kinda looks like the guy who designed the 12-string headstock screwed up in that he forgot about the TRC until it was too late. Solution? Bastardise the slick looking TRC.... the ole sledge hammer "make it fit" approach.

I wonder if Mr Hall could shed light on this whole thing.
