Well, I went to lay down lead tracks with my 650 and the dang thing wouldn't stay in tune. Been an ongoing prob. Bought some new tuners form Rick, but haven't installed them. The current ones just don't hold. Had a solo with a lot of bending on the D.
So, the "All Rick" recording, won't be. Sorry, don't want to turn this into a rant.

I am surprised Jerry. All of my Rickenbackers stay faithfully in tune. Since I starting playing guitar (42 years ago) rarely has an issue like yours been traced to faulty tuners on one of my guitars. Could the the fault could be strings or an intonation problem? Or is a tuner just not holding tension?

Yeah, I have 3 other rick guitars and two other basses (and one on the way). No other probs. I really feel it's a tuner prob, based on the feel of them. I'll know for sure after I change them. Tried different strings, no probs there. I bend or strum hard, the tuners go loose. I'm not too worried, otherwise it's a solid piece of work. Just bummed I couldn't record it that evening.
