Rickenbacker really dosen't have anything to do with the release. Problem is, the information about the 325c64 was released far too early and companies under buyers pressure start making up lies and hoping that maybe the guitars will come in by that time

This threads been dead for three months now. I thought I'd revive it. Any word about 325c64s making their way through the factory yet?

I did see that. The very brief amount of information made me wonder, though, is it a reference to one or two guitars (i.e. more or less prototypes, perhaps for trade shows) or actual production models headed to sales floors?

Well, Oyoyo, what we've got here is not a 325C64, but a Rose Morris reissue. Can anybody say "Anniversary surprise"?

The correct designation for this guitar is Model 1996, after the Rose Morris model number. The rest of the production units have the 31 degree soundhole, unlike the prototype shown above. ("2 o'clock -F- hole" is a horribly inaccurate term.)

The Japanese chose to have some of the 325C64's they had coming to be delivered as this sub-model variation as they appear to be more cognizant in Japan of the John Lennon connection to this model.

John, do they have a square heel?

Type 3 heel, squarish with rounded corners.

Mr. Hall, what would the correct designation be for the other style/angle sound hole which has been inaccurately called a "1 o'clock F-hole"?

If you like the time format, they'd be 00:40 and 01:01.

Mr. Hall, you said the one was a 31 degree sound hole. I am wondering what the angle (in degrees) is for the other style, as shown above?

40 minutes = 20 degrees.

It's surprising that the Japanese would order 1996's with the later positioned soundhole angle (previously known as 1 o'clock). There is no Lennon connection to this.

If anything, there's a Fogerty connection.

Really nice to see them being made in fireglo though. I know some have been hoping that 325C64's would eventually be available in fireglo with the early positioned soundhole. (early 1996 config)
