A belated WELCOME Alison!

Ah-ha! Another night owl!

I wasn't able to attend the 75th party, but from what little I've read posted here, you seem like a blast to be around!

This forum will be greatly enhanced by your presence!

Paul: Congratulations! What do you plan to do with your new found freedom?

Thanks, Tony...yeah, I'm definitely a night owl indeed. Too bad you couldn't have been there this weekend. Perhaps I'll meet you at the next confluence though? I like to be hospitable and make people feel good. It was a good weekend. Image Going to bed now....it's almost 3am!!! Catch you around the forum! Image

My main retirement plan is to have "Rickenbacker Basses - 50 Years As Rock's Bottom" published. Right now, I'm awaiting contract papers from Hal Leonard Publishing, and the target is to submit the manuscript and photos next summer, with announcement in the winter catalog, and maybe reveal at the Winter NAMM show.

I want to contact John Hall next week to see when a good time will be for me to dig through the RIC archives for photo support and fact finding. I've got a lot of info already, but little is verified and I want the book to be right.

Other than that, it's travel and waking up when I durn well please!

Congratulations Paul! I can't wait to get a copy of that book! Great to meet you and although we didn't get to talk much, we'll make up for that next time! Enjoy your retirement.

Paul, isn't it too early for you to retire?! Image
Joking aside - congratulations. And good luck with the book.

Thanks again for the CD, Allison. I gave it a listen yesterday. I like it. It sorta reminds me of the Pretenders.

Your bass playing is good (but would be even better with a Rick!) Image Did you do any of the backing vocals?

Keep up the good work!

Yep! Missing you too, Alison....... and Alisha. My two favourite Rick chicks! Image

And everybody else I met at the 75th........

Congratulations on retirement, Paul - well earned, no doubt! I'm not heavily into basses but I'll surely be keeping my eyes pinned for the book. I'm sure it will be a classic.

...and it was great to meet you at the 75th!

If only I could afford to retire..... I'll be old enough in October! Image
