Ha! If it wasn't for the poor 5th, all 80's metal and 90's youth music would not exist! Lets hear it for the "root & 5th" chord!!!
Jerry, thank you so much for sharing some of your craft. I listen to the Shamus Twins CD about once a day at work, and have been wondering about that chord. Whenever I play that song for people, their ears always perk up at that chord.
My new band, the Twamus Shins, will be playing tonight in my living room. Anyone from out of state gets free peanuts on their flight.
