Wow Nate,
Your Dad went to Queensrÿche with you?
That's some heavy rocking stuff.
You better take care of that man!

Well we saw the prices on line, and the tickets were only $40.00 each, so it was worth it. He's seen em on a bunch of tours. He saw them on the Mindcrime, Empire, Promised Land, Hear in the Now Frontier, and Q2K tours. he missed the Tribe tour because he didn't know, and he missed them last year for the same reason. He's been a hardcore fan since their first EP. I just got into them this year, and they're one of my favorites now.

That's the generational difference right there. My dad was into Burl Ives, Henry Mancini, and Jimmy Rodgers. Nothing wrong with them, but Doors or Steppenwolf were out of the question for him!

Had a ticket for KISS in '78 and got the flu. Missed Van Halen that same year for some reason. Did make it to the Captain and Tenile (sp?) though with my folks! Missed most of the Who in '82 thanks to a drunk in front of me. I Saw Stevie Ray from the front row in his last show before his death, which was probably the best outdoor concert I've seen. The loudest - the Joe Perry Project warming up AC/DC in the early 80s. My ears bled for two days after that one.

How about concerts we WISHED we missed? My parents took me to see Paul Anka when I was 5 years old because for some reason they couldn't get a baby sitter.

Genesis in the "dog" days of Phil's reign when they went so pop... it was in a hockey stadium, way over the limit of SRO, and I was at the other end of the arena from the stage standing in an exit ramp. Where was the fire marshall?!

Fire marshall was in the front row via comp tickets.
