I have been using Tomastiks on my '66 360 12-string for sometime now. essentially, its made from two sets of 10s.

The standard strings are:

18w
23w
33w
44w

I like the heavier gauge as I tune down as much as a whole step and they hold tune and feel fantastic.

UPDATE-TI export emailed me on Friday. They told me they are still working on this and according to their email stated that they will be in contact with me after Easter.They were very nice and told me that they did not forget about this. I responded with a new rough count and again told her we are anxiously awaiting a price so ordering can commence. Anticipation..its making me wait.

Gino, thanks again for running with the ball on this.

I played my 360/12WB for about 1/2 hour yesterday (Ric compressed round-wounds) and then switched the strings over to TI flats (10/10, 13/13, 20/10, 25/13, 33/20, 39/25). I left the amp settings the same and everything seemed to drop into place without any adjustments to the rods, bridge, etc. Sound-wise, it wasn't a huge difference, but it does seem like the main strings are a bit softer in volume or duller in tone with the flats and the octave strings stand out more. As far as I can tell, this change in the blend seems to be a major factor in generating the somewhat more vintage-twelve tone. Feel-wise, you can feel that the big, wound strings are more flexible with the TI's. When you fret a note you can feel that the octave string is a bit stiffer than it's mate - not a problem or something that you have to get used to, but it can be felt. In general, they play quite nicely and sound very good. I think I'll really like them in the long run, though I must admit that by comparison, the Ric CRW set for half the price isn't bad at all.

I just installed the same basic set as Todd last week on my 360/12 CW, but replaced the 10's & 13's with 9's & 12's (I like 'em lite). These strings are fantastic - feel great and sound terrific. At first it's a little un-nervivg hearing the 'thud' of the Low E string, but when the whole set is completely installed, its well worth any extra cost.
It really smoothes out the overall sound, and yes the octave strings are more noticeable. Also be aware that the plain E & B pairs will be a lot more pronounced.
I adjusted the bridge pickup height lower on the treble side to compensate for the increased perceived output of these pairs. All in all - a great investment. I'm hoping they'll last quite a while...
To get a pre-made set for less than 40 bucks would sweeten the deal considerably!
