Oooh, excellent preview of what my 05 Laredo is going to look like. Too bad you have to cover up the woodgrain in that headstock but bright white with walnut wings looks great also. I don't think you can go wrong with either Dale or Paul W, both of them are extremely talented.

Whenever I see the great of Dale and Paul W. I get RIS (Refinish Instrument Syndrome) for my 4001S.

Joey,
I've had RIS, as you call it, since ~1972!
I wanted a pure white S bass all this time, and bought the V63 with the refinish in mind. It was in great shape, but had the neck/body joint separation thing going on. The perfect candidate!

BTW - I really enjoyed looking around your website, and recommend it to all interested in Ric basses. Great job!

Thanks Sean! Image
You're right Jeff, my 4001S does look cool the way it is and I'll probably leave it as until I decide to retire from playing live music. "Sleath", that's a good name for it! Image

I received the VTC pot and cap today, from Mike Parks... they're ready to go into the bass. I'm also replacing the treble PU, with the one that Sergio wound for me, to mate with the original '67 shoes... the combo should be awesome.
Should be about another week, by my reckoning...
I'm getting awfully excited!

Dale, I'm trying to email you and I don't think it's getting through. We had this problem last time and you emailed me your phone number but I have lost it, could you please send it again to the email in my profile? Sorry for the hi-jack but I have an important project for you to consider, the work you and Paul do is awesome.

EDIT***** Dale, I just saw your website w/phone #, I'll call you.
