If I see a white Rick, always my first thought is: How does the wood grain under the finish may look like? That is the same with all none look through finishes like JG, BG, AZ,... I would refin a WH/BT immediately to a MG/BT with no remorse! Sorry! Image

Yeah Jeff, I have no regrets.

It couldnt have worked out better. I prefer 4003's whereas you like the 4004's. We both had a very nice example of each model and traded.

It doesnt get any simpler than that.

It wouldnt have been possible without this forum though. Thanks Peter.

Scott, very sharp looking bass, those pure white ones are really cool. When I had mine I was just starting to discover how much I liked the 4004's and Tom Gallo was selling his green boy 4004, so I sold my white/bt 4003. I figured I could still have a bright white rick by refinishing the green boy and have a bass that I would prefer to play. The transformation isn't going to happen till the end of this year though.

Hey Mark, so you queued up for Paul's work earlier than I did(Sometimes I think it over too long, also on ebay), but I guess a pure white refin does not take too long?

One day I'll just send my white '73 to Paul or Dale for a bright white refin. It's not banana yellow, just creamy white like Fender's Olympic White, but I want it to look like Scott's bass.
