Hey Ben,
SHOULD you decide to sell the '73 4001 Case, PLEASE keep me in mind!
My new 73 Burg didn't come with a RIC case. IF it did, I probably wouldn't be dealing with the damage issue!
THANKS!

I think I'm going to bring my bass. Picked up two luggage straps. So, I'll pack the bass so it doesn't move, put the straps outside a hardshell case. Should be ok.

Tony I'll keep you in mind.
I think that's going to be tough to beat MARF II also without Dave's and Elys' axes but we'll see.

Howard - I was thinking of swinging by Truetone Music after picking you up. I would also like to swing by my cigar store so I can grab those stogies. We can't check in until the afternoon anyways, so if we do those two things, and take our time, that should put us in Santa Ana around check-in time. Just a thought, not cast in stone or anything.

Sounds great, Charly..... lock it in!
I haven't had time to get any cee-gars yet (I'm suffering from a lack of mobility at present) but I may be able to pick some up duty free at Melbourne airport.... not the $450 box I bought last year, though!! If not, your store on the way to Santa Ana would be ideal!

As I already mentioned, my 660 DCM will be there, and it will be playable; I will make up some "Please Do Not Pick Up or Play" placards that we can put on the guitars that are not to be picked up and played.
I have already started amassing equipment in my office:
There will be an exciting announcement shortly - stay tuned!

I've just been informed my '73 4001 will not be done in time for everyone and myself to enjoy at the SoCal confluence.
Bummer
