I, alas, only have the LK left in the Ric stable so that is the only Ric I'll be bringing. Down with your American-only bias......I'm bringin' the Wal anyway (besides, if I get kicked out I'm only 10 minutes from home this time)......

Scott, I'd like to check out your ICON as well.....I haven't had the chance to play one yet. Love the figuring/color of your's and it looks like the action couldn't be much lower!

Brian, already made me buy a Laredo. Brain, already made me refinish Ric. Two things I swore I would never do. Now, I have to be subjected to his WAL too! Can't all the non-Ric gear be placed in a seperate room with key code access for those of us with no self-control?

Hey, John's bringing his too so I'm not causing all of the trouble!

I didn't "make" you do anything.......you took it upon yourself to molest my LK for a little while and you became smitten, asked me a few questions and made your own decision. Just because you have good taste and understand when you are conversing with a genius is not my fault. As far as the refinishing....that's Paul W.'s fault for doing his magic on my ex-Blackened Laredo so put the blame where it belongs.

Also, when I played a Wal years ago I was quite taken and was lightly looking for one for years. Of course I waited too long and decided to buy one after prices skyrocketed (so much for the "genius" that I spoke of earlier) and I have no regrets. I wouldn't be surprised if someone catches Wal-fever after playing it (and I also wouldn't be surprised if everyone hates it either). It's not a Ric (and, obviously, I LOVE Rics) but it is similar in that it is it's own identity plus the variations of useable tones is amazing. Certainly not for everyone but....

BTW....your second reference to someone named "Brain" obviously is not intended for me.

Lookin' forward to seeing you guys again and meeting some new pals.....always the best part of these little get togethers.
