Re: SoCalCon2008 Pictures
Hello, all. Back from my first ever Rick Resource confluence on Saturday and it was more fun than I imagined. I've managed to post a video of one song that Kenny's band performed last night. I'm terrible with names (I think Kenny's the one on bass) and now I can't even remember the name of the band. Someone help me out with the name of the band and the members, please!

Anyway, these guys were incredible. The songs they played were fantastic. I don't normally like new original music bands. No matter how accomplished they may be at their instruments, the songs tend to be mediocre to bad. These guys on the other hand know how to craft really good songs. I'm editing the others to put on youtube and I find myself listening to them over and over again and not tiring of them. Great stuff! I captured the whole 50 minute show and can post all the songs if you guys like. The built-in microphone in my video camera sometimes overloaded slightly because of the sound pressure level (it has a tough time handling loud bass and I was up close). But overall the recordings are very listenable. Let me know what you think. Thanks to Joey and all for helping to put this shindig on. I loved it.

The band is Hautewerk, a collaboration between Kenny and John.

Re: SoCalCon2008 Pictures
In Mike's defense, Kenny did say something along the lines of "that's Kenny on bass and I'm John."

The Hautewerk CD is really good. I ordered mine over the phone some time ago and got Kenny and John to autograph it. By the way, I'm home now and coming down hard from such a great time. Gary and Joey did a fantastic job of organizing the whole thing. Bow I have to figure out something to keep myself occupied till next year.

After their set I said to Kenny - "nice job John...I really like Kenny's bass" to which he did a double-take and said "I'm Kenny"
They rocked, BTW. I need to get my hands on that CD...
"Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time"

If it weren't for the picture I wouldn't have believed it. Not the A & G I know! Sure they aren't imposters??wmthor wrote:I swear on a stack of Rickenbackers that Aitch & Graham actually ordered water with their lunch.
Needless to say, that neither was really thrilled with their decision.
I guess that just shows how Saturday night went.
