Mark, that is exceptionally good of you to do all that. Even moreso, I wish I had the know-how to master a CD.

Very speedy! Thanks again,

Today's update: I'm waiting to hear from the DiscMakers duping facility in San Francisco to confirm that they received the CD master. In the meanwho, I'm finishing the CD layout, and am needing some information that I seem to be missing. (My dog ate it, I'm pretty sure.) So if the following people would check their RRF PM boxes and/or personal email and get back to me ASAP, it would be greatly appreciated.

Jerry Juden
Rob Jones
George Boccanfuso
Chip Ficyk (Sorry if I murdered the spelling there)
Keith Smart
Steve Carsello

I'm sorry that I missed out on this, but I would be interested in getting a copy with it's done. I'd like to be involved in the next one, for sure. I have a question about participating in the next one, do you mind cover songs or is it strictly originals? I've got no problem with either one, but I've got a great recording of September Gurls by Big Star that's got my 330/6 all over it, and a friend's 370/6 in spots (in addition to an SG and an old Pink Strat that's been pieced together from vintage parts over the years. (Some of them were new at the time they were put on, but have aged enough to be considered vintage at this point. ) The bass was a Hofner "Beatle Bass" 63 Reissue.

But, I can see where cover songs would be an issue. My 660/12AFG is shipping from POTR today at 3:00, so by the time the next one comes around, I'll probably have something better and more more Rick-ish anyway. :D

Thanks to all who responded to my last posting - very quick! I just need to hear from Rob 'Mateybob' Jones and the credits will be done.

Dusty - details on what will happen with a RRF CD 3 haven't been speculated on yet, but I would assume that it will feature strictly original music just like the first two albums.

I assumed it was an originals only affair, but thought it was worth asking. If there is a RRF 3, let me know I'd love to be involved.

Original music is mandatory as copyright issues would otherwise ensue.

Hi Mark,
No you didn't murder the spelling of my last name but a lot of people do trying to pronounce it for the first time.

Anyway, I reponded earlier but I got to thinking....I too have a very hungry dog at home that eats things other than it's food  , so I just e-mailed you all the original requested info.

I assume that my 660/12 will provide lots o' inspiration for writing, but as I already had something with lots of Ric on it and right up front in the mix that I'd ask anyway. I really wish I'd gotten in on this on time. I'm down for the next one though, if it happens. I think this is such an amazing idea.

If the "originals" rule is due to copyright concerns, would an old song on which copyright has expired be fair game?

Just something to think about for the next one.

By the way, obviously I haven't heard the new one yet, but the first RRF CD was far and away the best "people on the forum contribute songs" collection I've heard (and no, it's not the only one!). I'm looking forward to the new one.
