VOX AC-30...which is the better to get?

Anyone have any experience with the AC-30 BM (Brian May Sig model)? It's handwired and has Alnico Blues. Although no longer in production, there's some good deals to be had price-wise.

The only things that I remember about it were that it had great tone, but only one knob on the entire control panel, which I believe was volume.

You're thinking of the BM-1. There was also an AC-30BM produced, which is no longer in production.

Lemme ask you this, Paul: How can you get the Townshend style feedback from a Vox HW?

Not hard with a hollowbody guitar. Just stand in front and crank it.

Sounds like my intial plans of getting the Townshend feedback. I take it when you stand in front of it and crank it for feedback, John?

Jake, don't forget to turn down the neck pickup on your guitar. Then flip the pickup selector switch up and down during the feedback using only the bridge pickup.
