Saw this listing on ebay:
2009 and Rickenbacker with hollow body electric guitar with original hard case and brown strap in perfect condition apart from a few scratches on the case.
serial number is 09 06533
This guitar is in perfect condition and is one of only 9 to have been made. This is a collectors item if kept in good condition.

Link to listing:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rickenbacker-elec ... MyEbayBeta
I'm not that interested in buying it, just wondering what's limited about it or what the collector appeal is?
From the single, blurred photo it looks like a regular maplego 330 but, if there's one thing I've learned about Rics since I started browsing here, it's that I know bugger-all about them and I'm usually wrong.

There is really no collector appeal here i suppose if anything is kept long enough in good condition its got some collector appeal but this is a bog standard MG 330.

Thought so - Thanks Scotty.
So presumably the "one of only 9 made" is complete nonsense as well?

Hah-hah... I noticed those sets too, today!

One has to be very mentally unstable to put that stuff on a Rick

These "home-made" eBay TRCs are incredibly lame; they look like they've come straight off of the set of a Wallace and Gromit animation. Is it salt dough or something????

looks like he pressed a real one into some clay and used some sort of resin to pour into it.
