Here is my old girl. She was born in March of 1963.
Played with a steady hand she makes some wonderful sounds.

Serial # unknown, pots date from 1981. Walnut finish.
She's a plain Jane but a doozy of a player with a nice slim neck.

Ted, that's the oldest and one of the nicest I've ever seen. Love the horns and hips and that fireglo is something else. All the rest too, natch.

Here is my '80AG. It stayed in the case for years because the low notes did not resonate very well. Also, to be honest I never really liked the color. After a few bridge mods she found her real voice and I have not been able to put her down since.

Kira, Walnut is hardly Plain Jane IMHO. That is a beautiful bass. Yours is much better looking than my AG.

Yeah Ted, that's the strongest AG I've seen, almost Monty territory. I find it very bold and masculine. I find the black trim enhances that impression even more so. Nothing wrong with that

The pickguard is not right for it. The original was white with a black TRC. I guess some were made that way. I suspect I will return to the original look someday.
