Mine would be very simple binding on the 330 fretboard / slash hole.
The first day in the job, I would get you a spell checker Scotty!
This is a difficult one. I really like what Rickenbacker are doing now - body shapes and necks are becoming slimmer and more elegant, colour is more intense and smoother graded, the electrics are smarter and detailing is finer. Tough to add to that sort of positive progression.
It would come down to markets and influence, but I suppose I would like to look back to the Rose Morris series. Not just because of the looks and sounds of those guitars and basses, but also because it seemed to be a time when the UK was more influential – I mean we got our own Rickenbacker series!
If I was allowed a second action it would be to arrange lunch with Mr Gordon Brown and discuss dropping the import tax on
very specific luxury American goods.
Post of the year.
Brilliant Mark, I'd never really thought about the Rose Morris being a British series, lets have another.
Though most of the RM's seem to have migrated back 'home' to the US, must be some sort of homing device fitted into the electrics, that's it! That's what the 5th knob is!

Aw, c'mon Brian. Lighten up, eh?
I think he was just having a laugh, and it certainly worked on me. No need to get all worked-up over it.

Thanks for your interest Collin.
My comments were not intended for you as you can most clearly see.
We have received many complaints about a very small number of individuals who's mission it seems is to constantly and intentionally walk the line bordering on poor taste and outright disrespect. We know what trolling is when we see it.

As someone already mentioned, I would bring back checkered bindings. With the newer Fireglos and Full Width Inlays, that would be just the stuff!!

Sure, I getchya- no problem.
I also see some people here ready to "pounce" on people even evoke the slightest criticsim, even in a joking matter or constructive criticism. Heck, this whole thread is about change----by suggesting change, they are insinuating that things aren't perfect- so isn't this whole thread basically trolling?
Again, I know it's not meant for me- I hope I'm not on the list of individuals

, but I just had a laugh at a sarcastic post I found funny....thas about it.

Collin on a general note, the rules on this board are pretty simple. All we require is that members remember their agreement to abide by them and then no enforcement or further explanation would really be necessary. That would make my role very easy and in fact, we probably would not be having this conversation.

I'd immediately announce an import line and a CS Relic series.
Not really for any profit/loss or customer reasons...but just to be able to sit in my cubby and watch the conniptions out here on the internet!!

Wider necks on the 12-strings! It took this long for someone to post this change?
Exactly, Rob!!!!
Here's what I'd do......
* wider 12-string neck option.... offer the 660/12 neck on the 360/370/12 body.
* develop a thinbody acoustic/electric
* treat my staff to lessons on how to treat non big ticket customers with courtesy and respect.
* embark on a worldwide goodwill tour in an attempt to repair RIC's image as difficult to deal with...
and yes, it starts at the top.... and no, I would NEVER tell my most loyal customers to "move on".

I think I'd take some time to rework the control layout on the 4004 series basses to take full advantage of their tonal capabilities. Seperate volume and tone, with coil splitting for example.
