I am going to have a new nut made for my Duo-Sonic.The slots in the original are worn to low. I don't know if this affects the value negatively but the original tuners are going back on (with new buttons) so maybe that will add a little.

Replaced the repro tuners
with the originals
and replaced the worn original nut
with a new bone nut

It plays great now,like a new guitar.But I don't want to play it to much.I don't want it to start looking like my tele.

Well I think you've got a ways to catch up with the tele.

But then you buy and sell quite a bit so that's probably wise.
I'm impressed with how cool the rebuttoning job looks. Were you able to save the old nut intact?

Yes. I got the original nut all the tuner button bits saved.
