I liked the seven screw bridge on the 80's ricks Dane .But non of mine are 80's so we go back to putting extra holes in my basses . The stock rick bridge does accomodate for some radius . But in most cases (at least for me ) Not enough. Most of the time the hipshot will fit without mod (same as stock) But like i said , There are a few Ricks with extreme forward neck pitch that you have to play with . Also , i marked the slots i was going to cut for correct width .Like all saddles ,sometimes center is not always right .Thanks Daveman for the better pics . And yes that is exactly what i did . Cut the slots straight into the saddle . I like what you did with the brass stock . But you basically did the same as the stock saddles . I needed a little more on two of my basses . Thats why i did the old fashioned needle file job . They are not vintage parts so i didnt think twice about it
