The latest: The seller found the original 6-saddle split-"D" bridge that went with this guitar (when i got it back it had a 00821 on it), and he sent it to me. After fiddling with the original bridge for a bit, replacing some of its screws and putting the saddles back where they should be, it's back on the guitar and it sounds even better!!!!!

Congrats Kenny! Are we going to see and hear this guitar at the Wham Bam Scram Graham mini con Jam this Saturday?

As dumb as it sounds, I wish I still had the original pickguard and wiring harness.

I like this story! I'd love to be reunited with my first 4001. Hmm, maybe I could track it down...

Not dumb at all. The Byrd wiring sounds awesome.

I sold the pickguard set (upper and lower) ages ago - it must have been through VoxTalks, the Vox Showroom, or someplace else, because I don't have a PayPal record of it (remember when we all bought stuff via personal check on the internet? Seems so long ago)...

Anyway, it wasn't to someone here, was it? Unloaded Byrd pickguard set? No?
