Yeah, but now his head probably hurts trying to figure out who
really owns that V63!

Posession in 10/10ths of the law in this case!
Now, to get this thread back on track, I have not played a new Rick bass, but if they are like the mid-70s necks, they will be a joy to play.

I've seen two new ones with the thicker 70's style neck. Not my preference - but I'm fortunate enough to be biased towards the thin profile of the 60's basses.

Scott, I was really surprised at how thin the neck on you 4001 was. Same with Jerry's 4005 from the 60s. So thin! I am not affected all that much by the differences in neck profiles, which is lucky for me I guess, but I do have my preferences.

My personal preference is wide and flat. I like the 57 style P basses and flatter J bass necks, as well. I've had a few 70's Rics over the years, but never really got that into the more baseball bat feel. However I think every Ric bass from the 90's I've touched, I really liked the feel of the profile. While these are all quite subjective, those are my preferences.
Though I really like Steinbergers which are very baseball bat like, so goes to show you, things are subjective AND fickle.

John,
The picture I posted is actually of my FG V with the color washed out.
