I've had a "few" more over the years but here is my current "collection".......

Re: Guitar collection photo
Never get tired of seeing that one, Brian!
You've "thinned the herd?" Does this mean you parted with the piccolo bass? That thing was cool!

Yep, unfortunately if I'm not using 'em often enough I sell 'em. I'm on the hunt for a nice MID v63 (or other unique color) or possibly a 4003S to compliment the LK though.walker wrote:You've "thinned the herd?" Does this mean you parted with the piccolo bass? That thing was cool!

Just curious, what do you do with a fine looking specimen like that? Obviously the answer would be "play it," but what I mean is do you play it out in clubs? Is it too precious to hit the club scene? Only used for studio work? Just a bedroom instrument? Hardy played at all?incubus2432 wrote:
Please tell, what do you do with such a spectacular bass?

Well thank you sir! I hope this answers your question.......Tommy wrote:Just curious, what do you do with a fine looking specimen like that? It has certainly seen quite a bit of stage time but for now I am band-less so it is relegated to living room noodling. I have taken great care of it but I'll admit that it does shows signs of player wear. Oh well......
Re: Guitar collection photo
I'll bet Lemmy's basses show signs of wear, too!

Brian, I thought it looked in spectacular condition for the fact how much you play it, and out. The maple is still clean and whitish.incubus2432 wrote:It has certainly seen quite a bit of stage time but for now I am band-less so it is relegated to living room noodling. Also, when played out, it had the protection of a contingent of Cleveland's finest on guard.

Bert: Are you able to pick a favorite from your collection?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Beautiful! Now we just need higher resolution versions so we can see them better!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

The 4003 MID/BT used to be my favorite, but I only take the 5 string with me to band practice these days. Besided the low B the added advantages of the 4004 like no binding (even less than the 4001S) and being able to mute a lot easier are very welcome also.
I forgot the 650D.Wildberry wrote:Bert, only basses left?
