Hmm. If it was, you must have been playing guitar, because I can play only bass! I brought my special red Höfner to that confluence, too.

That first "major" confluence was notable in that there were about 40 or 50 basses, maybe six guitars, and perhaps Ted's 4080. It was pretty hard to put a jam together, but a version of Big Bottoms would have worked!

Hope some of you can come to Milwaukee this June (see listing in Confluences).

My go-to is the old, '76 4001 Azureglo, but it depend on what I'm doing. The fretless is, well, fretless and strung with flats, so there's a different sound there. And I'm really liking the 4004, it's strung BEAD, so again, it's got a different purpose. It may eventually end up being a 5 string...
