Oh yes, I know. My '72 is probably less than 8.5lbs. My 1st CS was over 10lb, the second a little lighter, the V63 lighter still. The various 4001s I've owned average at about 9 or so.Seans wrote:If you're talking 4001's, I had not thought there could be such a difference in weight between my newly purchased early 72 and my rock standard 79, the 72 is almost too light, it's thin, thin and thin, mind I have gigged a 4080 in the past.

If I could stand to be without this Cii for more than a week or two, PW would no doubt be my first choice!jps wrote:How about sending it up north a bit. Or, won't he touch it, too?

Actually, I'm planning on doing just such a mod to my 4004Cii. Probably later this spring when I get my Bridgeport mill setup, I'll "do the deed" (no sloppy routers for me, thank you veddy much)...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Is that a Stihl life you did, there?
Re: Isnt it Ironic?
Send it to me Joey. I can route it, then wire it whatever way you want. Shipping would be an added expense, but if no one in SoCal has the courage to take a Dewalt fixed base plunge router to your Ricky...I do

It's a good thing for me that my Dremel went belly up. I might have tried it myself.aceonbass wrote:Send it to me Joey. I can route it, then wire it whatever way you want. Pity. On the other hand; you can use Rickenbacker straps now. They are small.henry5 wrote:Tried nearly all of them. Had a Comfort Strapp for years, no good. Got an Overwater one too, no good either. The nerve is causing pain through my clavicle and the wider the strap (ironically) the worse it currently is.

I guess so! Hopefully we'll be able to sort it out soon enough & then I won't have to worry about it anymore....berth wrote:Pity. On the other hand; you can use Rickenbacker straps now.
