I will say that we decided not to mess with the headstock, so the tuning keys for the octave strings will be at the tailpiece; in fact, the R tailpiece has been replaced with a specially made Ω shape, of course the body had to be cut to accommodate it, sort of like the Ω on an Alembic. (That was hard to come to grips with, at first) This, of course, required filling the ramp in flat, leveling it off with the rest of the body to make it all work. Specially acquired "rainbow" checker binding will be applied around both the front and back of the body, and the crushed pearl inlays are being replaced with newly designed Lightshow inlays.

That is all I can say, at the moment, perhaps I have said too much, actually!

I've been really really lucky in that I've had a very good one for 36 years a '64 1998 and I would never just swap it for another, so I guess it's my dream one. I would like to give it a brother though - a modern mapleglow 360/6, nothing too ostentatious but must have the same action to die for and a tiny bit wider fret board as my fingers have aged since I bought the 1998 as a 19 yr old!
I must love it, because in 1975 I sold a '60 Les Paul SG to buy it (nobody wanted them back then)!

I'd love to have a 366 and put a Accent Vibrato on it if it could be done fully reversible. Only Vox have been crazy enough to put a whammy on a 12-string, but I'd love to try that on a Rickenbacker. You could get some real stunning sounds from that (IF it doesn't go out of tune from the first bend).
But there's too many exciting Rickenbackers, Voxes and vintage Fenders out there and I want them all. And when you add Studer tape recorders, EMS synths, Neumann microphones etc. to that it gets quite overwhelming for anyone on a regular income. But hey, I'm only 25 so guess there'll be time enough
