I have to say, Billy, you've got quite a collection of 12-strings...two 330s, a 360F and a 450! Are there any more you're not telling us about?

There's also the blue 330WB in your display pic...anything else? :D

See, that's just not fair...alas, my purchasing a Rickenbacker, let alone a vintage one, is put on the back burner for the time being...never fails that whenever I get close, something always comes up. In the mean time, would a Vox VT30 be a good amp to play through?

Well, I've owned many 50's-60's Rics, as well as modern Rics. They are apple vs. oranges. If you can afford vintage, buy vintage. Like Ron O'Keefe, I prefer the capri's, they just can't be beat. And along with the 60's OS's, they both increase in value over time, but they are also the most expensive. The way I started was to sell a few guitars I wasn't playing anyway (come on, we ALL have a few guitars laying around that don't get played..) for one good vintage one. The money that went into the vintage one went up, but over the same time period the money from the other guitars did not, so vintage is also a good investment. Plus it's better to have one great guitar than a few average ones. BUT if you don't have the cash, the new stuff can't be beat. Sure they will not sound or feel the same, but the constuction is superb and the sound is great. Unless you have a bunch of vintage ones to compare, you will not notice much difference. I mean Ric is still family owned and operated!!! And they are smart to NOT expand ala Gibson, Fender, PRS, etc....and look what happened to those companies. But at the end of the day, I prefer the old stuff. My favorites are a couple of old capris, and my '69 325.
But at the same time, I love my MID 350 too...but it has to have gold guards....
