Well - (with a slight air of superiority!!!) there's a helluva lot of UK artists, dare I say - a monopoly, in the potential list for the Ric playlist, as suggested by this thread!!

Ye Gods... Have I missed it or has no-one yet suggested a Creedence song? What about Born On The Bayou, Suzie Q, Put a Spell on You, etc. The live footage from Royal Albert Hall and Woodstock also shows some wonderful soloing by John Fogerty on his 325 (soloing being the subject of another thread).
Love the idea of including some contemporary songs, by acts like recent Radiohead, Paul Weller ( who is back on a Ric), and even some great Aussie Ric fans like Ice Cream Hands and Even.

How could I have forgotten Midnight Oil!

Some great Rick tones in their music.

Holy smokes, I'd move to Laguna just to get that radio station

!!!! Their programs and playlists are amazing!!!!
As far as "premier Rickenbacker songs", wayyyy to many to narrow it down to 6.

Well, if enough of you guys listen and make online requests, then they'll have no choice but to do another show or two like this. (They can see in real time how many people are listening online and the location. This show is already quite popular in the U.K. and Israel, due to Jason's background.)

I enjoyed the "Full English Breakfast" radio-cast this morning.

There was good dialogue inbetween the songs with JH and Jason. I hope that KX93.5 can do more Rickenbacker themed shows in the future.

The show was too short, I thought. Good song selections, even though they did not get to play all 6 of them.

Yes, too short in my opinion too. Maybe they'll do some more of 'em (hope hope hope)...

Would anyone care to post the finalized/aired play-list here?

+1
I was only able to catch the end of it, being in a barely mobile state right now as few of you know. Maybe they'll extend the show another time.
For those not in So Cal who missed the show, you don't have to live in So Cal. You can get it online with the link JH provided.

Then they signed off with Ace Of Spades by Motorhead.

The show was a bit of a bust really. Jason is not particularly noted for his organizational abilities- he is an artiste after all- so it was a shock to all parties when it became clear he double booked his guests for the show. Also, the engineering was a little out of hand, with the mic levels low as compared to the silly background music he plays during conversation.
The good news is that he's now promised a full hour show in the near future, dedicated to the Rickenbacker theme.
The shows all eventually end up on podcast at
www.kx935.com under the respective show's page.
Everything considered, it was good experience that will only get better.
