Nope, nothing to report since the frets. I had hoped then bass would be back in time for our gig next weekend but things had been progressing so quickly for a while, I may have become slightly "spoiled". I have to keep in mind that Larry has other projects he is working on and my 4002 most likely took up a huge chunk of time for a while when it was in pieces.
Should be done soon. I realize the finish is a critical step but after finishing the fret work, the finish is largest thing to be done then it's fit the hardware, set her up, test her, and ship her home.

Update! the end is in sight!! Larry sent me these today! She is in the booth having her finish applied. This will take several days followed by a week and a half of curing.

Finish has been applied. Now to cure for 10 days before assembly and set up.

UPDATE!!
Oh she is so close to being done, that I can almost hear her!!
Larry is putting the finishing touches on the "Pheonix" As you all know, this bass was a real mess what I got her. A prior owner had her in a very wet environment and she pretty much came apart and was put back together by some hack.
I rescued her off eBay and sent her to Larry Davis, where she has resided since the middle of April. Larry pulled he completely apart and put her back together the right way!! I should have her back home very soon!!
