How about an Rick 5-string bass finally coming back into the lineup? Well, John said why were we hung up on color. That hints at a new model.

Okay, so RIC is making naked maple the COY.deaconblues wrote:johnhall wrote:Why is everyone so hung up on color as the new thing?
Fingers crossed that if there is anything new, that they don't go to all the effort of taking it to a trade show, and then hide it in a room out the back.stuart wrote:Fingers crossed for the 350v89
I'm a big fan of that guitar, too. In fact, it's my favorite guitar. I was just happy to see RIC even think about that model. That alone was cool. I would love to see it become part of the RIC lineup, but until then, I'll just have to be happy that I got to hold and strum the real one.condo wrote:I was disappointed that the 350MC did not materialize as a purchasable product last year. Instead of the 350MC I'll continue to play my '86 350. Btw the fibertop hg pickups on this particular guitar are something special. Back to the 350MC, A RIC 350 guitar in my possession with a wider and deeper neck like the Campbell model would bring me some fun times.
I got to play the "reissue", it was pretty sweet! VERY wide neck.stuart wrote:I'm a big fan of that guitar, too. In fact, it's my favorite guitar. That's how the real one felt, too. I loved it. The action wasn't as low as I thought a player like MC would have. It was what I'd call "medium-low." Enough room to dig in, as he certainly does on that guitar. Strings felt like .009s to me. That guitar is amazing. Imagine where it's been and who's held it. That was the guitar Mike used on stage when he was part of George Harrison's band in April 1992 for the Natural Law Party show.sloop_john_b wrote:I got to play the "reissue", it was pretty sweet! Campbell uses D'Addario XL110 strings on all his 6-string guitars, and his action is medium-low because, while he has enough room to dig in, he can also play slide on it, as he has done in the past on his 350. I think that's how all his 6-string electric guitars are set up, with that same action. It was also his main axe for the 1991 Into The Great Wide Open tour.stuart wrote:That's how the real one felt, too. I loved it. The action wasn't as low as I thought a player like MC would have.
