Words really can't do this justice!! I had high hopes for this instruments and at times it was an uphill battle but she is done and oh man is she spectacular!!. The boys at The Twelfth Fret in Portland, OR are masters!! The re-fre fret and fretboard palne went so well! As with ky 1965, they matched the patina of the varnish and kept the vintage vibe of the instrument. The original 1968 horsie is killer!! She is every bit the growly beast that Marl Walkers 1968 is!! That coupled with a mono jack wispy thin neck and killer original Burgundyglo finish makes her the most complete instrument I own!! What a player!!
OK, enjoy!! I need to post a video so all can enjoy the tone!

Re: Reserection! 1968 4001 Burgundyglo
Took her to rehearsal last night and was blown away at the tone through my Orange and gig rig. I DI through the front of the house gear and the setting for my Spector worked very well with this as well. I have a ton more room for higher Gain settings as compared to the Spector. I expected this with the difference between the active and passive pups of the two basses. I really want to bring her out to the gig next week but with only one practice under our belt, I'm not sure I want to stress our sound guy on such short notice.
