Ok, clear coat on, two weeks of curing time ahead and then polishing and buffing!

Is it really as orange looking as it seems to be in those photos?

Ok, all sanded, buffed and polished, and finally some hardware going on! Larry had to contact Tony at Pickguardian to have the pick guard modified, so that's where he's stopped for now. Until that is completed, here she is, nearly complete:

Although the headstock looks better than it did before, other than its being upside down, how is this bass "McCartneyized".

Larry has that '64 (and '67) shade of Fireglo down to practically perfect....

Well, all Larry is waiting for now is to have his photographer schedule a proper photo shoot, and she will be coming back my way! Until then, here are the 'completed' photos from Larry's bench:

I would love to be able to do work like that. I'd have a problem not wanting to give it back to the owner though.

Sooo nice. Larry does great work! He did my '72 Azureglo and "Naked Tuxedo."

The bass is beautiful, but that double hump gard is visually distracting. The smooth contour following lines of the current and pre-'97 guards are so much better.

Here is what Dane is referring too, with respect to your guard. And, if you haven't, I would recommend Dane to construct a vintage style harness loom for the bass too. The bass looks great!

It appears Larry's Fireglo process is rather consistent....

Looks like my old PMC. Mine had more Red in the FireGlo.
