No - I'm just an observer of the continuing discussion of 6-saddle vs. 12-saddle, and 12-string intonation in general. I've never owned a 12-string of any kind, but have, over my 30+ years of playing, played many acoustic 12-strings, which invariably have straight saddles. I've never been aware of intonation issues - maybe I just have cloth ears? It always seems to me that there are so many other variables going on that focusing on the bridge alone is misguided.
One day a 330/12 or 360/12 will find its way into my collection, and I'll be able to have a credible voise in the discussion!

I finally found one for sale on eBay: a 700 C/12. It's eBay item #7316075522. It's already over $2,500.00! Wow! What does one cost new from a dealer? If you can find one, of course. It's not exactly the one I want, but I'm considering joining the fray just the same.

Mark, I've had my eye on it as well. Look for it to go a LOT higher before it closes.

Whoever does get it should record it. I want to hear one of those!

It is one of our forum members who is the high bidder on it at the moment.

Sing along if you know it.............
"Woke up this morning feeling fine,
There was something special on my mind,
Last night I was the high bid on my dream guitar (oh yeah),
But sometimes some bids just seem to go too far!!!
You get the picture.

Oh, no! My condolences. Happened to me twice last Fall, until I got ESnipe.
Graham: Try ESnipe next time!
I've never lost an auction with it, and it costs only 1%. First bid is free.

Went for $2862.00! A bargain, considering condition and rarity.

What happens if multiple bidders on an auction are using ESnipe ?

Just like any other auction, high man wins!
ESnipe actually answers this question in ite FAQs. They claim that this happens very, very seldom.
I use it only when I really must, must have something. Then I bid a little higher than I think it'll go, and I win. Simple.

Unfortunately, in other arenas of life the 'high man' doesn't always win...were this the case, I'd be winning all the time...

I don't understand the difference between using ESnipe, and just 'bidding to win'. I generally bid soon, and bid strong - I haven't ever lost anything I didn't want to lose... I think people get discouraged when they put a bid in against me and they never come out on top. It is a 'bully bidding' tactic, but it works (at least for me).
I am interested in hearing the logic of these things like ESnipe - I just don't understand it... Help!
