"Doesn't that look more correct?"
No, the fretboard inlays are upside-down.

My suspicions tell me that Jeff may just be trying to fix that upside-down fretboard at this moment.

Ronn ... it looks like you play lefty strung righty ... or is that just the way it looks in the picture ...

You are correct sir.
When I was a senior in high school(1976)several nights a week I would sneek out of my room at midnight, walk several blocks to a church, crawl in a back window, and play their right-handed Fender Jazz upside-down for a few hours. Sneek back in the house, get a few hours sleep then get ready for school. I also worked after school washing dishes at a restaurant saving up for a bass. When I finally bought my first bass I was used to playing that way.

Ronn, perhaps you are the person to ask this. I once read - I can't recall where - that Paul McCartney is actually right-handed, or at least uses his right hand to write; and when as a kid he first tried to play a guitar, he played it right-handed, but soon realized that if he flipped it it's more comfortable. Can you refute or confirm the story?

He's a lefty in everything as far as I know. I've seen him sign autographs with his left hand for instance.

There is Jazz-Bo in the Smith book with inlays just like this!

This isn't me, it's not a Rick, and it's not a bass. But, it is my son with his first Burgandyglo!
Here he is either playing the Beatles' Mother Nature's Son, or Slither, by Velvet Revolver.
If he keeps it up, I'll have to get him a little 325!

Scott,
He may have a picking technique like Squire, but I bet Squire doesn't have Spiderman jammies!
