ROTFLMAO is a reference to Mao, according to a woman on a music website... Republic of the Former Leader Mao or something like that she said it meant and left the forum as it was a cover for spreading mao-communism she argued :lol:

That landing is on dutch-french St. Maarten/Saint Martin in the West Indies - nothing weird, just a usual landing. In Greece there's also a dozen of such situations, one being on the top of a cliff even, plus in Polynesia this kind of landings isn't uncommon either.

Then there's always St. Barts, on the Caribbean island of Saint Barthélemy. It's only 2170 ft. long, has lots of tricky cross winds and from one direction you have to come in with a very steep approach over a bluff. French aviation officials require special training for a permit in order to land there mostly because things like this happen so often.


Here's what it looks like if you do it right (shows just how close you have to come to the bluff/road):
