Regarding CME - While I was upset at what happened, I may have gone overboard with some remarks, especially directed towards Scott.

Scott called me personally today and apologized for the fiasco. We spoke nicely, and I went over my history with him, and he totally understood my position.

What he did however, was actually above and beyond what other dealers would, or could do. As many of you know, I've been looking for a particular bass to make a project with. As weird luck would have it, he picked up such a bass last week. Due to the circumstances he sold me the bass at a price that I probably could just flip it as was my plan with a second DCM and make a huge profit. It'd be hard to believe he didn't lose money on it.

This bass however, will be my project.

Peter, if you want to remove my other comments regarding CME, I have no problem with it.

The real funny thing was he just called me again, laughing because he had just read the remarks I made. He jokingly said that if he had known about the comments he wouldn't have sold me the bass.

While the others involved may still be upset, I cannot continue a beef with him. It's baseless.

For sure, so what's the project, and what's the donor bass.

Well, at least we've established it's a Ric, and I know not everyone shares my like (obsession) with Fireglo.

Whatever it is Marc, I hope it goes great and turns out as you'd like. I'll look forward to seeing pics when it's complete.

I wouldn't try to talk you out of it. No one can screw up a Rick as bad as me Marc.

Carefully strip off the FG and send it to Jim!

CME screwed me! The lying piece of **** had the nerve to tell me that two of his good customers had their orders in first. None of them were Marc, Jeff, Dave or me! Steer clear of CME.

Do what Zarc did and call Silver directly. He sure made Zarc suddenly feel better Image I sincerely hope he can you too!

Or call the Attorney General's office tomorrow...

A pound of flesh is one thing, but doing something to help future generations avoid a truly crooked RIC dealer - whomever that may be - is a calling to which we should all nobly and selflessly aspire Image

Ted, I feel for you, and don;t like the way things turned out. When they took my order, I had my doubts, and while I understand the situation with the money tied up, I also know for certain that a couple of top Ric retailers opted almost a lottery, or basically just played favorites with who they decided to sell their DCM's to.

Elys, let's get real here. The atty general ain't gonna do anything in a situation where the retailer, upon realizing he could not deliver, refunded their money.

But could he REALLY not deliver? I know you are not feeling hurt anymore, but others still are...

I am not happy with the situation because I did want that bass, the thing is, I don't believe he had criminal intent or committed a crime, and that's what criminal complaints are based on.

To go to court with anything like this, you need a lawyer who will cost more than just going out any buying the bass on open market.

Marc is right. It would be hard to prove criminal intent here. It is at the very least sharp practice. While it may be clear to us what happened, it really just our word against his. I am just sick about it.
