Not mine, either.

As in all things presidential, one side is a bit too hard on him, and the other is not hard enough. 2001 was a tough time to be a new president, of any stripe.

I'm hoping it will be sooner than that. Bush entered office with a $380 billion surplus. He has since spent it all along with an additional $3 trillion in the hole.

They're rioting in Africa. They're starving in Spain.
There's hurricanes in Florida and Texas needs rain.
The whole world is festering with unhappy souls.
The French hate the Germans. The Germans hate the Poles.
Italians hate Yugoslavs. South Africans hate the Dutch
and I don't like anybody very much!
But we can be tranquil and thankful and proud
for man's been endowed with a mushroom shaped cloud.
And we know for certain that some lovely day
someone will set the spark off and we will all be blown away.
They're rioting in Africa. There's strife in Iran.
What nature doesn't do to us will be done by our fellow man.
Name that Tune!

..... Texas needs rain ....
Charlie, I don't know about the rest of the tune, but we've had about 4 inches of rain
since I've been home.

It's been 104 here!
The lyrics are from The Merry Minuet by the Kingston Trio in a live performance recorded for their first in-concert album From the Hungry i LP 1959 .
Paul W was hot on the trail!
