Scotty you have part (a) correct. Part (b) the correct answer is "the test pattern"

See below, some of you you may recall seeing it on your black and white TV set when the station went off the air.

Yes that's correct Evan, Keith came on the scene in April of 1964. Anyone know the circumstances of that chance meeting?
