Thursday last I managed to cut loose for a couple of hours to work on the 320 again.
The body, neck, and fretboard were sanded after I pulled the frets. The fretboard was filled and resanded, trued and surfaced. You can see little chips on the fret slot areas that are really inevitable on guitars that have been stored for a long time in low humidity. Although the new frets will cover these chips, I fill them anyway so the finish will not exhibit pockets in these areas.
The entire guitar was finish-sanded with #220 and #320 paper. It has zero nicks in the maple and at this stage looks like a new instrument. Next step will be refretting.
I expect to be refinishing it in its new color within a week.

Here's a tickler. The guitar has been sanded, detailed, and has a couple of coats of sanding sealer on it. The fretboard has been filled, sanded, and sealed. Frets were removed a couple of weeks ago, and new ones were pressed into place today, trimmed, edge-filed, and beveled.
So here it is in its original case, ready for the first color coats which will be applied sometime tomorrow:

New nickel-plated Kluson Deluxes will be fitted, along with a Bigsby B50 and a bowtie bridge. I'll have some interesting details and a nice color scheme to finish it off.
David Coyle's 335 is close to receiving its own color coats, too, so watch for its own installment in the next week.

Painted it today. Varnished it just an hour ago.
Hmmm...should I wait until it's all together, or post pictures now?
